In the body

What it does.

Tiger nut is one of the richest food sources of resistant starch, a fibre your gut bacteria feed on rather than a starch your body digests quickly. The tuber is sweet on its own, so nothing is added. Most of its fat is oleic acid, the same monounsaturated fat found in olive oil. High in fibre, which contributes to normal bowel function.

Tiger nut is a tuber, not a nut. It contains no tree nut protein, so it suits households avoiding tree nuts.
