For investors and funders

A protein crop with no European supply chain, and no incumbent

  1. European plant protein is concentrated in a handful of crops, chiefly soy, pea and fava.
  2. Bambara is nutritionally competitive and agronomically superior under climate stress.
  3. It has no established European supply chain, no processing standard and no incumbent.
  4. Whoever builds that infrastructure owns the category entry.
  5. We hold the grower network, the processing knowledge and the mapped regulatory path.

European plant protein rests chiefly on soy, pea and fava. EU policy is actively pursuing diversification.

What we have built

  • Grower relationships and own farm access in Nigeria: Easy Bite Farms, 20 hectares of our own land in Abuja and the Dilomat research centre in Port Harcourt.
  • Formulation and fermentation work addressing the sensory and cooking constraints.
  • Crop reference and phytochemistry work across nine crops.
  • Batch traceability system live on a pilot Bambara batch.
  • GB novel food route mapped, including labelling and allergen conditions.

What we have not

  • No revenue at scale. Products are in development and pilot batch stage.
  • No independent amino acid analysis yet. It is commissioned, not delivered.
  • Mechanical shelling and post-harvest capacity is the unsolved scaling constraint.
  • The traditional-food authorisation is not exclusive to us. Anyone meeting the specification can use it.

Defensibility

Processing know-how, grower relationships and vertically integrated field access. The regulatory pathway is open to anyone, so the moat is supply and derivative work, not paperwork. Detail on the derivative strategy sits in the gated deck.

The ask

  • A pilot manufacturing partner for flour and derivative runs.
  • Grant collaborators for characterisation and fermentation work.
  • Distribution conversations for a first UK consumer range.

Round terms are shared with the deck rather than published.
